Mental Health Therapist
Laurie is a conditionally licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC-C) and licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) with over 10 years of diverse clinical experience.
Throughout her career, Laurie has focused on supporting individuals experiencing chronic and complex mental health concerns, including co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
Laurie also has experience working directly with public safety professionals and emergency responders, giving her a deeper understanding of the unique stressors and demands of high-pressure environments and their impact on both personal and professional life.
Her approach to therapy centers on creating a safe, supportive space for honest conversations, self-reflection, and meaningful change. Laurie works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns that may no longer be serving them and develop practical strategies to move forward in healthier, more effective ways.
She draws from evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care, tailoring treatment to each individual's needs, strengths, and goals.
Laurie has a particular interest in working with first responders, military personnel and veterans, and individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. She values the opportunity to help clients navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and create lasting, meaningful change.
