    Ellen Nelson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner and Clinical Director of the Center for Healing and Recovery. With over two decades of experience in the field, Ellen specializes in providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health treatment to first responders, as well as working with teenagers and young adults navigating life’s challenges.

    Before founding her practice, Ellen spent nearly 20 years in Child Protective Services, where she developed a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and the complexities facing individuals and families in crisis. She also served as a crisis response clinician for 9 years, providing critical care and support.

    In addition to her clinical work, Ellen offers clinical supervision to emerging professionals, supporting mental health providers with a focus on ethical practice and professional growth. She is deeply committed to creating a supportive, healing environment for both her clients and colleagues.
